Profiles and approval

Nep VC is for adults aged 18 and over. Broadcasters submit a profile photo, display name, city, bio, category and language. They explicitly consent to publication. An administrator must approve each submission before its photo, name, bio, category and language appear publicly. Editing a broadcaster profile returns it to review and removes it from public listings until approved again. Admin approval does not verify identity or age.

Camera, microphone and location

Selecting an available broadcaster begins the permission and private-call flow. First-time visitors provide an introduction and consent to storage of a camera snapshot and profile details for admin review. Your browser requests camera, microphone and location permission. Access begins only when you grant permission; Nep VC cannot bypass your phone’s permission settings. Calls begin after the broadcaster accepts. Broadcasters also grant device access before becoming available.

Who sees what

Your call partner sees your name, live video and in-call messages. Administrators can view submitted profile photos, details, broadcaster email addresses, approximate location readings, reported accuracy, activity times and reports. Other visitors see only approved public broadcaster profile fields and availability. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places and kept out of public listings and call signaling. Browser location can be spoofed and is not proof of address. Do not submit a street address.

Storage and retention

Nep VC does not record video, audio or text messages. Call partners can independently capture what you share. Production calls use a TURN relay; the relay operator can observe connection metadata. Local development may use direct peer connections that expose network addresses to the peer. Profiles and broadcaster credentials expire after 30 days of inactivity; reports expire after 30 days; admin and call-start audit metadata after 90 days. Cleanup runs hourly. Broadcaster passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes. Font files are self-hosted.

Your controls

Use “Delete my data” during an authenticated session to remove your profile, broadcaster account and associated reports. Limited audit metadata remains until its retention period ends. Visitors ending a call release their camera and microphone. Broadcasters remain available after a call and must choose “Go offline” to release their devices; closing the page also releases them. Revoke permissions at any time in your browser. HttpOnly session cookies authenticate visitors, broadcasters and administrators.

Community rules

No nudity, harassment, hate, exploitation, scams or illegal content. Report call misconduct with the flag button. Broadcasters can decline incoming requests. Admins can reject, unpublish or suspend profiles. Reports are reviewed manually. There is no automated identity verification, age verification or video moderation.
